Mountain Bike Challenge in El Yaque 

The 28th of March a very unique Challenge will take place in, or better close to, El Yaque : The Killer Mountain Challenge ! Organizers and Bike Guides Al and Nora invited ten international Pro Riders and a bunch of El Yaque Mountain Bike heroes to see who might be able getting all the way up the Killer Mountain which is located between El Yaque and the international Airport of Porlamar and indeed is a Challenge. After a Pro Massage for all Riders after their rides, the King of the Hill will be crowned at the "La Chiva Loca" Restaurant at El Yaque Beach. 1498 will report about the Event, of course !!

2nd Festival de Kite - Isla Coche 29.01. - 01.02.2010

In 2010 at the World Famous Coche Kite Sports Center will be held the 2nd Festival de kite after last year amazing turn out of the biggest amount of national kitesurfers at any event in the history of the sport in Venezuela. On January 29th to the 1st of Febuary once again on Coche´s main Beach, Playa la punta will be the celebration of 10Years of kiting in the country.
The event it to not only promote the destination but offers, 2hrs free beginer kite tution, water and land equipment demos, Free beginer diving intro, advice from the top schools in the country, SKY DIVING EXIBITION Sunday morning, Photo/video projection of the last 10 years on sunday night, 1hr free drinks each day of the event and of course 3 beach style parties to join the kitesurf communty of Venezuela and the rest of the world!!
