Local Beach partly opened for Christmas Season

The local beach at El Yaque, where most people from the Island spend their sundays and holidays, has been reopened for the public the 25th of December, but in a limited version, as the refiling of the beach couldn´t be finished on time. The Wavebreakers were built and Truckloads of Sand were brought to fill up the spaces between those wavebreakers, just not early enough to finish before the Christmas Season. At least some business came back to the beach and those who knew the Beach before now could enjoy their days in a little different ambience.

Christmas Celebrations for El Yaque Kids

Most owners of Posadas, Windsurf or Kitesurf Centers, teacher, Travel agents really care about what is going on in the little Village they all chose to live in and open their Business and especially the El Yaque Kids, most of whom grow up in very poor conditions and with very little education, need a lot of help and support, which they get a couple of times per week, when those people mentioned before get the Kids together for activities  and in order to give them more cultural and school education and so make a little better future possible. Yesterday the group got a surprise Christmas Celebration together and almost all El Yaque Kids showed up to enjoy and some nice hours including Christmas meal, games and the Christmas Pinatas. Hopefully more of those Kids will take part also at all other activities, english lessons etc in the near future as by now only a few attend classes weekly.....

Weather helps to grow the Beach

The weather stands still at the moment in El Yaque, the Sea is flat, no Waves are breaking onto the shore and no wind creates currents or blows the sand away, the best opportunity to recreate the swimmers Beach and so the only motion El Yaque sees a the Moment is Truck after Truck after Truck, bringing Sand, Stones and Rocks to build the new Wave and Current breakers and to fill up the Beach, right for Christmas holidays. Especially the El Yaque fishermen are in hope that this time all work that is done might protect their houses, the entrance into the lagoon and the lagoon a little longer than before, as they would be the most affected by a mayor damage or continuos Beach erosion 

Reconstruction started - Mission Beach recovery

During the past months the entire Beach in front of El Yaque´s Fishermen, the Place to be for most venezuelans each sunday and during vacation and also part of the new Kitebeach has been eaten by the sea and most parts just disappeared. It took a long time before some sort of Beach protection was planned and even longer before it started. Now the machines started their engines, Rocks and new sand are being transferred to this part of the Beach, or what was left of it and the reconstructions have begun, even if the first step was to create a new pass towards the Coche pier, where all tourists for the Island of Coche leave Margarita, but also the remaining works, as they are Wave and Current breakers and filling it all up with new sand, will be done shortly
