Carnaval Resume

Carnaval is over, the people have gone back home, to work, school etc. . After a pretty slow start into Carnaval holidays, the remaining days as there were sunday until tuesday, just got pretty busy at El Yaque Beach, with the Beach almost as crowded as we know it from Semana Santa, same for the roads and parking spaces. Right after Carnaval El Yaque came back to normality, peoplewise, the wind has dropped for a day but it just might be the silence before the big storm, as the forecasts for all upcoming days is just amazing with strong winds and some swell rolling in...  well, El Yaque swell, as the Beach is pretty well protected there will be some amazing Bump and Jump Conditions for all Wind - and Kitesurfers... we got some more images of the Carneval week for you before we come up with some mayor action....

Carnavales

Last day of the 2012 Carnaval, the festivities close today, in Venezuela with another day of "Ley Seca" so alcohol sale. While at the Cities of Porlamar, Juan Griego, San Juan, La Asuncion impressive Carnaval Parades went through the streets, in El Yaque it became another Party week, with lots of festivities at the Beach Day and Night and many people visiting the little Village and after a slow start in the end at most days the streets and Beaches of El Yaque reached their limits and especially saturday and sunday it almost looked like the famous Semana Santa week.

El Yaque News still got some Carnaval Parade images for you....

Carnival Holidays at El Yaque Beach

The predictions about national tourism during the Carnival Days all talked about a very full and crowded Island during those four to five days, with all flights and ferries booked out and no space in Hotels left. Actually it is much calmer than expected at El Yaque Beach, while the LOcal Beach stayed almost empty the first two Carnival days, the touristic site also hasn´t been that crowded so far, so not as many cars as El Yaque is used to in those days, still empty sunbeds and hotelrooms. THose who came to El Yaque certainly enjoy the nice colours and pure sunshine plus the Windsurf and Kitesurf Action on the water....  El Yaque News got the first images for you.......

Valentinesday at "La Chiva Loca"

It is 14th of February again, the day of the couples and people in Love. El Yaque´s Bar / Restaurant La Chiva Loca celebrates this day with a Candle Light Dinner special right at El Yaque´s Mainbeach under Palmtrees, would there be a better place to celebrate, possibly after a nice day on the water. Hurry up, find a couple and be there and already shortly after you can start your first Salsa, Merengue and Samba Steps at La Chiva Loca´s Salsa Nights.

Local Beach reconstructions continue

A few days before Christmas the reconstruction of the Local Beach in El Yaque, downwind of the Windsurf and Kitesuf Area and upwind of the new Kitearea started but had to be interupted for the Christmas holidays. This week the Trucks loaded with fresh sand and rocks started their engines again to finish the work, extend the wavebreakers and fill in the empty beach with some fresh white sand. So far the work looks really good and promising and it seems as it would all be finished before the next little highseason, Carnival, which will start in ten days.

Stormsurfing at Isla Margarita

As the Island of Margarita in the Caribbean and especially THE windy Spot of El Yaque Beach depends on the weatherconditions and those weather conditions concern most of the people who want or might travel to Margarita, it is always one of our main issues to keep anybody updated on the current conditions and predictions. Well, after a very strong El Nino year in 2010 with just great winds almost every single day and the following la Nina in 2011 with quite poor winds ad lots of rain, the season of 2012 is kind of a weak la nina still but with already much better winds, but also still some rain at night and sometimes during the day which doesn´t make the wind super consistant during the day but there are already some very nice hours for each Wind and Kitesurfer each day plus the clouds are just perfect for just amazing sunsets....
