A Trip around Margarita  07.02.2010

Windless and rainy days are usually the perfect time for day Trip around the Island of Margarita, though two days would be better to also visit the Island part of Macanao. In the Winterseason of 2009 - 2010 the strong and daily winds sends the exhausted tourits on the Trip especially to the North coast of the Island of Margarita. And certainly it is worth the time. Not only beautiful caribbean beaches, also culture and historical Spots of the Island are always waiting to be visited. 1498 El Yaque News just checked the Tour again. Starting at the Islands Capital of La Asuncion, one of the cleanest and nicest places on the Island and with some very nice street cafe´s in quiet atmosphere, ideal for a relaxed breakfast, observing the slow caribbean Lifestyle and further on to the Beaches of Parguito, El Agua, Manzanillo, Caribe and finishing at the City of Juan Griego. Especially the tremendous Beaches of Parguito, one of the Islands top Surf Spots, El Agua with dozens of Beach Bars, Cafe´s and Restaurants and Manzanillo, where you can watch the local Fishermen catching the fish of the day close to Shore while resting in a hammock sipping a nice Cocktail. All those Beaches, with kilometers of white sandy Beaches and turquoise water colours, are always worth a visit. To finish in the early afternoon and still have some time for some watersports in El Yaque, Juan Griego with its historical buildings and the beautiful fishermen bay, which surely is also a place where one should have been at least once for a Sunset Dinner in one of the various Restaurants right at the Beach and with great and romantic view onto the Fisherboats, the Bay and some Fishermen and the great Bachground Sunset, was the last stop of the Trip. During the next weeks 1498 El Yaque News will visit also the rest of the Island of Margarita, the Laguna la Restinga, which connects Margarita and Macanao, and all Beaches of Macanao
