Impressions

Another week in 2012 just finished, the week after the christmas holidays, where thousands of national tourists invaded El Yaque Beach. Now we got the first more quiet impressions of the week for you...  enjoy also the rest of our Pics of the week section...

On straight Route to Margarita

During the past two years many direct flight connections to the Island of Margarita have been cancelled and the way to the Island of Margarita became, not really more difficult, but longer, as by now one has to fly via Caracas to get to our Caribbean Island. Well, that has changed a little. With direct flights coming from Canada and now also from Poland. You can check this site to maybe find a nice direct flight from Warsaw / Poland, which leaves there each Saturday.....  See Flight / TravelAgency

Sunny Start into 2012

After the rainy New Year´s Eve, the weather at El Yaque Beach has stabilized and the sun came through every single day, with some rainshowers at night and only once during daytime, which makes the wind increase little by little and after some storm surfs in the past weeks now it is all going back to caribbean weather sailing at the caribbean Beach of El Yaque, where still not too much of the beach can be seen throughout the day as many national tourists still come day after day to spend their day with family and friends at El Yaque Beach. We got some windy pictures for you this week.....

Crowded Christmas holidays at El Yaque Beach

The four national high seasons at the Island of Margarita are the christmas, carnival, easter and summer holidays, while the Semana Santa, the easter week, surely is the highlight concerning the amount of people at the Island and so also at El Yaque Beach. But also these christmas holidays stepped forward and kind of into Semana Santa Competition. Cars are parked just everywhere and fill the entire village including grass and greens rapidly day after day, in the early afternoon it gets hard to find a sandy spot at the beach which is not occupied and Windsurfers and Kitesurfers get more and more concerned about the huge amount of Banana Boats and ferries to Isla Coche crossing the watersport zones like crazy and make some people prefer to stay at the shore.... El Yaque News got a little foto selection of those days....

Wet entrance into 2012

Welcome 2012 ! Of course also in El Yaque lots of celebrations took place, each Hotel and Restaurant, Beach Cafe and Bar was packed with people, celebrating their last Dinner in 2011 with their families and friends under palmtrees and clear skies, at least until the 2012 Countdown started. Exactly the minutes around midnight and during the partly massive fireworks, hard rain started to poor down onto the Village, just to disappear few minutes into 2012. In many cultures the rain is a symbol for good luck, if so, it might be a very nice and succesful, windy year. All the best for 2012 from El Yaque News !
