Tropical Storm Alert 29.10.2010
Storm Tomas passes the venezuelan Coast
It might become the last Hurricane of the 2010 Season in the Caribbean Sea, but Storm "Tomas", how the metereologists call this storm coming from the south eastern Atlantic Ocean, causes lots of apprehension along the venezuelan coastline and Islands. Not very often it happens that those massive tropical storms, which build up into major Hurricanes as soon as they hit the warmer water of the Caribbean Sea.
What that means exactly especially for the Island of Margarita will be seen this weekend, but while at the Islands as Trinidad and Tobago, the Grenadines and Barbados an Tropical Storm alert was given out, for the Island of Margarita only a strong storm with heavy rain showers is predicted.
Three or four days it might last before TOMAS passed by and right into the Caribbean, where it should build to a Hurricane which than might find his way right towards the northern Islands as Haiti and the Dominican Republic and Jamaica. The Big Wave, strong winds and hard rain alerts let the people at Margarita start with their preparations to not get surprised by mother nature. The last Hurricane which passed by Margarita three years ago and which was located much further away already caused some major damages. The much warmer water surfaces of the Caribbean Sea and parts of the Atlantic Ocean in 2010 have caused a quite impressive number of Tropical Storms and Hurricanes this year....
Storm Tomas might close the Season, that´s what most well known experts believe and calculated...
